Report: Giannis Antetokounmpo out for Game 5 vs. Miami Heat

With the Milwaukee Bucks facing elimination against the Miami Heat in Game 5 of their second-round series, the team will have to keep its playoff hopes alive without its biggest star. Giannis Antetokounmpo has reportedly been ruled out for tonight’s game after suffering an injury in Game 4. According to Shams Charania of Stadium, Antetokounmpo will miss Game 5 with a right ankle sprain. That means the Bucks will have to stave off elimination without their MVP candidate on the floor. Even though Antetokounmpo left Game 4 early due to an injury, Milwaukee still managed to win that game in overtime, 118-115. That cut the Heat’s lead in the best-of-seven series down to 3-1. Throughout the 2020 NBA Playoffs so far, Antetokounmpo has averaged 26.7 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game. In his last full game against the Heat — Game 3 on Friday — Antetokounmpo dropped 21 points and 16 rebounds. Tip-off between the Bucks and Heat is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. The game will be broadcast on TNT as the Bucks fight for their postseason life without Antetokounmpo.
