HKSAR gov’t to resume normal public services

HONG KONG, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) — The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government departments will fully resume normal public services from Sept. 15 subject to the implementation of targeted measures to reduce social contact and the application of infection control measures, a HKSAR government spokesman announced on Thursday.

The Hospital Authority started on Wednesday subjecting all newly admitted patients at public hospitals to coronavirus tests. HA’s Director of Quality and Safety Division Chung Kin-lai said it was a move to prevent young, asymptomatic patients from spreading the disease to elderly patients in wards.
