ORU said the man did not interact with students, his co-workers were sent home and the shop where he worked and machinery he worked with has been cleaned.

Carl Shrader, medical director for the Sundale nursing home in Morgantown, said 16 residents and four staffers have tested positive for the virus. Seventy-six tests are pending as of Wednesday morning, though results are expected in the coming days, he said.

Emerald Heights said in an emailed statement Friday the employee had worked there for 27 years before she died Monday. It declined to release further information about her identity or her job, citing privacy concerns, except to say she worked in a non-clinical capacity serving residents throughout its campus.
